Who we are

Arclen Fencing is a trading name of Arclen Ventures (ABN 48 703 457 808). In these documents "we" and "us" means Arclen Ventures.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you use the estimator: your name, email, mobile number, property address, and your answers about the fence you want.

Your consent choices and when you made them.

Basic technical information such as pages visited and the website that sent you here, so we can see how the site is used. (Analytics are only switched on with your consent.)

If you apply to partner with us: your business details, licence number and contact details.

How we use it

To work out your estimate, email it to you and follow it up (for example, to work out a length you didn't know).

To pass your enquiry to the licensed fencer for your area when you request a site inspection, if you agreed to that when you got your estimate.

To send you marketing emails, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To run and improve the site, and to keep it secure.

Who we share it with

The licensed fencer who covers your area, so they can contact you, inspect the site and provide a final written quote. You agree to this when you get your estimate, and we pass your details on when you request a site inspection.

Service providers who help us run the site: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email delivery (Resend) and error monitoring (Sentry). They only use it to provide their service to us.

We don't sell your personal information.

Overseas

Our site and database are hosted in Sydney.

The emails we send (your estimate, reminders, and enquiries passed to your fencer) are delivered by Resend from its servers in Tokyo, Japan. That means your name, email address and what's in those emails, which can include your estimate and property address, are processed in Japan.

Some of our other service providers are based overseas and may access information from outside Australia to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them for the purposes above and our records, then delete or de-identify them.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email ricky@arclenventures.com.au.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email ricky@arclenventures.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
